Your Private Bar is a unique event venue available to rent for any type of celebration, meeting, or occasion. We also offer beverage catering & cash bar services, alcohol delivery, custom gifting options, party rentals, guest transportation, and more.

Established in 2013 as Your Private Bartender, our business was service-oriented and ideal for weddings where the host provided the complimentary beer & wine. Most of these events were staffed by the owners, Matt and Amber Cooper, as a fun way to make a little extra money.

It didn’t take long for the word to spread, as we were the only mobile bartending service in Iowa at that time. Our business grew to bartending events on a weekly basis and we had wonderful friends and family willing to help.

In 2016, we had the opportunity to expand our services into a new event venue as an independent bar service. This eliminated the responsibility of the owners obtaining their own liquor license, so they could focus on their venue and planning with their clients. This changed the course of our business as we then had the equipment and model to provide cash bar services on a mobile basis.

We were able to renovate the former Billy Joe’s Pitcher Show bar into Your Private Bar in late 2018. We were already providing bar services for the adjacent Events Center West Venue, so this was a logical step as it offered us a home base and equipment storage for our mobile events. This location also gave us the ability to host our own events (open to the public) and offer the bar for rent.
