  • About

In 2019 Willie and Alex made the decision to jump into a business venture together. Soon after, Alex reached out to his childhood friend TJ for some help. The three of them formed what would become The Station on Ingersoll you know today. Their mission was to focus on high-quality bar food, and create a spot that dripped with sports enthusiasm. Today, it’s that food and atmosphere that keeps The Station on Ingersoll relevant in the minds of foodies and sports fans alike. Willie, a Kansas City guy and the elder statesman of the group, had his own run of sports bar ownership in his younger days. Alex and TJ are Des Moines natives who met working at a pizza shop (Silvestrini’s Pizza) while they were attending Hoover High School in the early aughts. That introduction to restaurant life catapulted them into 20 years of bar experience. The three partners have brought their expertise in business and hospitality to establish what is now a sports bar staple in Des Moines’ best restaurant district, the Ingersoll Avenue strip. There’s nowhere they’d rather be.
