    The Principal Charity Classic, a mainstay on the PGA TOUR Champions schedule, takes place in the heart of the Midwest in Des Moines, Iowa. The tournament is an exciting, family-friendly event that also contributes greatly to the economic vitality and quality of life in Central Iowa.

    Beginning in 2001 with Principal taking over as the title sponsor in 2007. Throughout the year the tournament has called 3 courses home, Glen Oaks Country Club (2001-2004, 2006-2012), Tournament Club of Iowa (2005), Wakonda Club (2013-present).

    Since 2007, the event has raised more than $73 million in support of Iowa youth – a number we aim to grow year after year.
