This Top Five series will feature experts in human resources, marketing, accounting, IT and others. They will introduce five things on certain topic that will help you be successful in your small business.

Social media is a part of our everyday life, even at work. Balancing your employer needs and employee rights can be tough. This interactive session will provide tips on how to draft and enforce workplace social media policies. You’ll also hear real-life case examples to help you understand when you can and should act and when it may be a risk to do so.  

Maggie Hanson is an employment attorney at the Davis Brown Law Firm with a focus on litigation and employment practices liability insurance defense. She advises and defends employers, managers and HR professionals in court, mediation, arbitration and administrative forums. Maggie primarily defends employers in disputes related to labor, discrimination/harassment, wrongful termination, breach of contract/non-compete agreements, unemployment claims and other employment-related issues.
