Session Overview:
This session will explore the different between key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals, how to get the most out of your numbers and dive into industry trends.
Speaker:
After a quick year of teaching right after college and a year and a half stay in Charlotte, NC, Christy’s journey brought her back home to Iowa in 2001 when she was asked to help run the family business. Over time she grew to be the sole estimator and the frontline face of the business. And in 2015 she became the first and only women owned body shop owner in the Des Moines area. Christy’s journey wasn’t done yet. After buying another body shop in 2020, she then sold both shops in 2021 to Caliber Collision, effectively retiring at the young age of 44.
In 2022, Christy emerged from full retirement to become a certified business coach. She works will large and small business owners providing them the focus and accountability needed to navigate the murky waters of business ownership.
Christy values contributing to her community, and she actively demonstrates this commitment by dedicating her time to volunteer in several community organizations, such as the Urbandale Chamber and the SBA’s free coaching program, SCORE. Through her volunteer work at the Chamber and with SCORE, Christy stays connected to the heartbeat of the community. It is her goal to make her client’s businesses stronger, therefore strengthening the community as a whole.
