5 (Almost free!) tools and tips to help you look like you hired a pro.
After 26 years of running a brand-building creative agency, Sally has the tricks and insight on how you can look like you’ve hired a marketing professional, even when your business hasn’t left the kitchen table yet. From email to social media, direct mail to outdoor, you’ll learn about tools that are amateur friendly, and techniques that stretch your marketing dollars. It’s easier than ever to create your own branded marketing and this session will show you how to get results that stand up against the competition.
Sally Cooper Smith specializes in marketing and business strategy for small businesses. She works with founders and entrepreneurs to grow their businesses through more effective branding, advertising and communications — online and off. As President and Creative Director of Cooper Smith & Company, the marketing and design firm she founded in 1993, her studio’s work has been published internationally and received numerous regional and national awards in competitions from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, the American Advertising Federation, the Art Director’s Association and the American Marketing Association.
Ms. Cooper Smith graduated with honors from Iowa State University, where in 2011 she was granted their prestigious Design Achievement Award. Sally continues to be involved with her alma mater, serving on the advisory board to the Department of Graphic Design.
Sally brings her experience in branding, communications, marketing and business management to the boards she works with, having served in the past as president of the Des Moines Symphony Ambassadors, the Civic Music Association, the Art Director’s Association of Iowa and Ballet Des Moines. Sally is a member of the Rotary Club of Des Moines, A.M. and volunteers her time as a mentor for the University of Iowa’s Venture School program and ISU’s CyStarters.
