Event Description:
Join over 150 high school interns, apprentices and future interns from across the Des Moines metro for the 3rd annual career development program, The Legacy Project: Career Ready Collective. Over the course of six weeks, participants will be inspired by nationally recognized keynote speakers, develop professional skills and have the opportunity to network with peers and business professionals from across the region. Programming for the first five weeks will take place Fridays from 12:30–3:30 p.m. at Principal® corporate offices, with one session moved to Thursday due to a federal holiday. The program concludes with a celebration event on Friday, July 24, from 12 - 2 p.m. Participants who are 18 or parent/guardians of minor participants can click the red 'Register Now' button above to register. Please verify the home address is correct during registration. Participants will be awarded a certificate and $50 stipend per content event attended (max. $250) at the duration of the program and will be mailed to the provided address.

The curriculum and program have been developed by The Greater Des Moines Partnership with support from The Robert D. and Billie Ray Center with Drake University. - Breakout Session Topics: From Chaos to Calm: Time & Stress Management, Knowing & Sustaining Boundaries, and a Career Fair
Friday, July 17:
- Breakout Sessions Topics: Interview Like a Pro, Mastering Care-Frontation, and a Mock Interview experience
Friday, July 24:
- Celebration Luncheon, Certificate Ceremony and Small Group Reflection
