Event Description:
The 25th Annual Bowlful of Blues, sponsored by the South Skunk Blues Society, will be held on Sunday, September 3rd at the Maytag Bowl in Maytag Park in Newton. Gates open at 11:00 AM and the show runs from Noon until 10:00 PM.
The Norman Jackson Band kicks off the event at Noon with The Bruce Katz Band at 2:00. Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers at 4:00 followed by Indigenous at 6:00 with Jane lee Hooker closing the show at 8:00 PM.
Tickets are on sale now through Midwesttix.com, www.southskunkblues.com and Advance tickets can be purchased at Mattingly Music & Books, American Legion Post 111 or Hy-Vee all in Newton. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the gate. Children 15 and under may attend for free if accompanied by an adult.
Bring lawn chairs. Coolers are welcome, alcohol must be in plastic, No Glass. There will be a variety of food vendors on site.
