Event Description:
Come learn about Marion County's Civil War history! 10 regiments from the Marion County area are featured, along with the connection between Abraham Lincoln and Pella's founder Dominie Scholte. Also discussed is women’s role in the war, the Andersonville Prison, the Rutman brothers, as well as an interactive children's room, children’s essays and memorabilia. The exhibit is running September 15th through November 15th. Admission is FREE thanks to a grant from the Pella Community Foundation. Regular hours are 1 – 4 pm Monday-Friday, with extended hours til 8 pm on Thursdays. Saturday extended hours are 10 am - 5pm.
