Welcome to FuseDSM! We are thrilled to have you as part of our dynamic and supportive business community.
To kick off their membership, we're excited to invite you to a special event: the YSS Rooftop Gardens Open House and Ribbon Cutting. It's a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand the incredible work being done at Rooftop Gardens and to connect with other members of our community.
The event will feature light refreshments, and you'll have the chance to take a guided tour of the facility led by the participants of Rooftop Gardens. It's a fantastic way to learn more about this inspiring initiative while meeting fellow FuseDSM members.
We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating this milestone with YSS. Your participation will make the event even more special!
The Rooftop Gardens Program is an innovative workforce development program designed to meet the unique needs of at-risk youth and emerging adults (ages 18-24) who have experienced foster care, the juvenile justice system, or are currently or at-risk for homelessness. In addition to growing, harvesting, and packaging produce to be sold in partnership with local area Hy-Vee stores, each participant will receive opportunities to build and strengthen life skills while exploring postsecondary opportunities and careers. The brand-new, state of the art facility includes six hydroponic Freight Farms, programming space, and onsite YSS Therapists.
