You're cordially invited to join FuseDSM Chamber of Commerce in celebrating Chang Course at their ribbon cutting event.
Change Course is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2022 to assist families living in poverty in Des Moines to remove the barriers in their lives (such as criminal records, addiction recovery history, inadequate education, poor support network, inability to navigate the welfare system) that are keeping them from emerging out of poverty and becoming self-sufficient. Change Course provides a six-month program of personal development, career training, support, and connections to a network of other partners (such as educational and employment opportunities) to support program participants in their journey out of poverty, all at no cost to the participants, resulting in the acquisition of a career opportunity with a livable wage and good benefits. Change Course was recently gifted a building to use right in the center of the demographic we serve, 1912 6th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50314. We would love to have a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate this amazing opportunity to develop more individuals and their families out of poverty. It will allow the members to come and see the training center and learn about volunteer opportunities to help those truly in need of a hand-up.

One block south of Hickman at the corner of Allison and 6th.
Please, park in the upper parking lot on 6th and Franklin. If it gets full, there is free street parking around the neighborhood.
