Positive Impact! | genYP Branding Yourself as a Professional Series, Presented by Midland Credit Union
Join us for "Positive Impact! Using EQ and AI to create your organizational climate" with Dr. Chrystal Stanley, Director of Professional & Career Development at Drake University. Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflict. Appreciative inquiry (AI) is a positive and collaborative group of techniques aimed at improving effective leadership and organizational and societal change. Combined, these two approaches can radically change your organizational climate. During this session, you will be challenged to think differently about how an individual, at any level of leadership, can positively impact the culture and outcomes of their organization. This activity-heavy session is sure to give you at least two proactive steps you can take today to improve your work climate, strengthen your leadership, decrease your stress, and enrich your life.
