Held over breakfast, these meetings feature a guest speaker to give members updates on timely projects and topics that affect your business and provides a great opportunity to meet and network with other Alliance members.
Earlier this month most property owners in Pella and Marion County received an updated property assessment statement from the Marion County Assessor's Office. Do you know how they arrive at that valuation and why they are re-assessed periodically? Kelli Kingery, the Marion County Assessor will join us to explain how values are derived, the rules of the Iowa Department of Revenue, and how/when to file an appeal. Also hear updates on initiatives of the PACE Alliance and the work of each Council including initiatives in childcare, becoming a Home Base Iowa Community, and talent development.
