Event Description:
Celebrate National Agriculture Day at Living History Farms on March 15. National Ag Day is a day to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture. LHF will be celebrating with livestock demonstrations, tractor displays, and hands-on activities related to pollinators, wildflowers and several other topics from agriculture-focused organizations from all over Central Iowa. Selected townsfolk will open their doors for visitors in the town of Walnut Hill. Special Activities: Living History Farms Summer Day Camp - craft and information Native American farming - hands-on station Activities from our community partners: Iowa Honey Producers Association Green Iowa AmeriCorps Iowa Agricultural Literacy Foundation Nutrients For Life Livestock Demonstrations Tractor Displays Open historic sites: General Store, Implement Dealer Scavenger Hunt for Families
