MOXIE, featuring Economic Development Director/Assistant City Manager, Curtis Brown
MOXIE (Member Owners eXchange Information & Experience) is a group of member business Owners who meet monthly with ActionCoach, Greg Thompson, to discuss issues impacting their businesses.
This month's featured speaker is Curtis Brown, the City of Urbandale's Assistant Manager and Director of Economic Development. Curtis will be discussing the construction progress for the half-diamond interchange at Meredith, the flyover at I-80/35 and Hwy. 141, as well as economic development projects in Urbandale.
Speaker Bio:
Curtis Brown is the Assistant City Manager/Director of Economic Development for the City of Urbandale, Iowa. Prior to this position, Brown held positions in the Economic Development Department and City Manager’s Office for the City of Ankeny. Brown has also worked as the Executive Director of the Mason City Economic Development Corporation and Community Development Director/Assistant City Administrator for Blue Earth, Minnesota. He has a BA from Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN and a Master's from the University of Texas at Austin. Brown earned the Certified Economic Developer designation from the International Economic Development Council in 2014. He also earned the Certified Public Manager designation in 2016.
