Event Description:

MOXIE (Member Owners eXchange Information & Experience) is a group of member business Owners who meet monthly with ActionCoach, Greg Thompson, to discuss issues impacting their businesses.  

This month features City Manager, AJ Johnson speaking on the upcoming public vote on the 1% Local Option Sales and Service Tax (LOSST).  AJ will discuss the impact to Urbandale if the tax is approved, the impact if it is not approved, the estimated revenue projected to be generated and when the tax would be implemented if approved.  

Speaker Bio:
The Urbandale City Manager’s Office provides day to day direction for the City. 

The City Manager makes recommendations on operations and policies to the Mayor and City Council.  The City Manager is appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. 

A.J. Johnson is the City Manager.  Mr. Johnson was appointed in July 2009. He was previously the City Manager for the City of Muscatine, Iowa.
