Marion County Trails Planning Workshop

Hosted by Iowa Heartland RC&D, a meeting has been scheduled at 6:30 pm at Central College at the BMW Room in the Matag Student Center to continue efforts in developing a concept plan for multi-use trails in Marion County, with the intent of linking trails within the Central Iowa region. The public, governmental representatives and others are strongly encouraged to attend and participate in this important initiative. Community participation is critical in making this plan reflective of citizen input, making it a real and tangible plan. Initial meetings were held in early December 2014 and February of this year, facilitated by Brian Leaders, RLA, of the Midwest Region for the National Park Service Rivers, Trails & Conservation Assistance Program. Unlike past meetings where ideas were generated for other counties, this meeting will focus solely on the needs within Marion County.
