Event Description:
Join us for a panel discussion and Q&A session about the Local Option Sales Tax Referendum which will be up for a vote in Polk County on March 6th.
Our Panelists include:
City councilwoman Connie Boesen
Polk County Supervisor Angela Connolly
Mike Lipsman, partner, Strategic Economics Group
Des Moines City Manager Scott Sanders
The discussion will be moderated by former Iowa House rep and current Des Moines West Side Chamber board member Phil Wise.
The first half hour of the forum will be a discussion among the panelists about the proposed tax and its implications for the City and County. The second half hour will be a Q&A session in which audience members may ask questions of the panelists.
This forum is free and open to all.
