Local Business School: Social Media for your Business will examine social media platforms, strategy and the importance of keeping your audience engaged.

About the Speaker:
Laurie DePhillips is the Vice President at Red Dot Branding and Marketing and has over 16 years of marketing experience. She has a passion for creativity and a knack for strategic thinking from working in a variety of industries including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, automotive and insurance. She believes that successful marketing is not just about selling products or services – it's about forging connections, building trust and delivering value.
 
When it comes to social media marketing, Laurie and her team at Red Dot have a keen understanding of various social platforms, trends and user behaviors that allow them to develop targeted strategies that resonate with diverse audiences.

Local Business School aims to teach attendees the ropes of today’s most effective marketing strategies that they can use to grow their local business in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and throughout Iowa. From building a strong social media strategy to creating a winning website, the program brings in subject matter experts from across the region to give attendees the best tools to leverage in 2022 and beyond. Local Business School was started by Emily Steele, Des Moines-based entrepreneur.
