Event Description:
Local Business School: Mastering your Website with Lindsey LaMair and Madison Stano will review the best practices for your business website.

About the Speaker:
When Lindsey graduated from Iowa State with a degree in English, she had no idea that it would actually lead her to a career in technology. Her background in technical communication serves her well when creating strategic plans for the wide range of industries that we see at Webspec. Over her ten years at Webspec, she’s seen her career evolve as quickly as the internet does, expanding from content writing and SEO into website project management, communications, and digital marketing. In her current role, Lindsey assists our teams with creating marketing and technical strategies for organizations of all sizes. When she's not working with clients, Lindsey loves spending time in Okoboji, cheering for the Cyclones, and hanging out with her husband, son, and dog.

Graduating from Iowa State University with a B.S in Public Relations and minors in Event Management & Psychology, Madison (Mady) started her professional career working with nonprofits before starting in the Content & SEO Strategist role at Webspec. She works with clients in a wide variety of industries, creating intuitive site navigation, writing content pages, and applying content and SEO strategies using the latest in web and digital marketing practices. Outside of work, Mady loves to broaden her palate by trying new foods, traveling, playing with her cat, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Local Business School aims to teach attendees the ropes of today’s most effective marketing strategies that they can use to grow their local business in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and throughout Iowa.
