Event Description:
Local Business School: Making a Marketing Budget with Jen Neumann will examine the best practices to create a marketing budget for your business.
About the Speaker:
Jen Neumann is the CEO and creative fulcrum of de Novo Marketing — a full-service creative marketing firm focused on serving purpose-driven companies, communities and non-profits. Her core belief is that every organization should have clear, concise and effective marketing and communications that helps them meet their goals.
An avid volunteer, Jen chairs the Iowa Women’s Foundation board and is on the board of directors for Women Lead Change and CSPS. She has served as President and Sustainer president for Junior League of Cedar Rapids. She was elected to the Cedar Rapids School Board in 2019.
In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her husband, Doug, and their daughters, Grace and Anna, when they’re home from college. They spend as much time as they can at their cabin in the summers and enjoy traveling and climbing mountains together whenever they can get out West. Podcasts are her guilty pleasure in life — particularly political and economic broadcasts. She loves watching birds, being outside, gardening, reading and running. She liked NPR before it was cool and has three lousy cats.
Local Business School aims to teach attendees the ropes of today’s most effective marketing strategies that they can use to grow their local business in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and throughout Iowa. From building a strong social media strategy to creating a winning website, the program brings in subject matter experts from across the region to give attendees the best tools to leverage in 2022 and beyond. Local Business School was started by Emily Steele, Des Moines-based entrepreneur.
