About the Speaker:
Mary Clark is a multifaceted professional known for her expertise in marketing strategy, content creation, branding and effective communication. With a solid academic foundation and a wealth of practical experience, she has successfully navigated the realms of marketing and education, leaving an indelible mark in both fields.

Mary earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Marketing from Bellevue University. Mary’s journey has now come full circle, as she currently serves as a dedicated professor at Indian Hills Community College and Drake University. Drawing upon her rich experience and profound knowledge in marketing and communications, she imparts valuable insights to the next generation of aspiring professionals.

Local Business School aims to teach attendees the ropes of today’s most effective marketing strategies that they can use to grow their local business in Greater Des Moines (DSM) and throughout Iowa. From building a strong social media strategy to creating a winning website, the program brings in subject matter experts from across the region to give attendees the best tools to leverage in 2022 and beyond. Local Business School was started by Emily Steele, Des Moines-based entrepreneur.
