Lake Red Rock presents Tour the Bridges of Marion County

Many key structures were build along the Des Moines River and other tributaries to ensure that traffic flows from Point A to Point B. The Horn's Ferry Bridge was the first bridge to cross the Des Moines River when it was built in 1881.  Join the Rural History Buffs of Marion County to learn about this bridge and talk about its history, its tragic demise, and the courage of the county to save what was left of it for generations to come.  A tour of the county's bridges will follow this gathering.
