Lake Red Rock presents Iowa's Feathered Chorus
Name:
Lake Red Rock presents Iowa's Feathered Chorus
Date:
June 22, 2014
Time:
9:00 AM - 9:00 AM CDT
Event Description:
You hear them singing all the time and see their brilliant colors as they fly by, but how much do you really know about songbirds? Learn some common species in Iowa. Learn to identify them by listening to their songs and seeing different kinds of feathers. Then, we get to put our new knowledge to the test and go on a hike to spot some of these beautiful birds. Finish by constructing your very own bird house or bird feeder to take home! Meet at 9 am at the Playscape (North Overlook Beach - north end of parking lot). Programs are free of charge. Outdoor activities may be cancelled if raining or inclement weather. For more information, please contact the Corps of Engineers at (641) 828-7522 or (641) 628-8690 or via email at lakeredrock@usace.army.mil
