10:00 a.m. at Red Rock Visitor Center: Join Iowa DNR Biologist Jennifer Kurth for a closer look at these "one-footed" wonders roaming the many rivers and streams of our state. Freshwater mussels play an important role in the health of freshwater ecosystems and help keep water clean by acting as natural water filters. For creatures that look like living rocks, mussels have unique life cycles and interesting adaptations to survive in their environment. Come learn more!
