KEY in Des Moines stands for Keeping Educated Youth in Des Moines. It is a program connecting employers with area colleges and universities for workforce attraction. Every other month the group hosts free educational sessions. KEY in Des Moines is a division of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce.
How to Live, Work and Lead in the new flexible workspace
This presentation will touch upon benefits of a hybrid workplace and why this mode of work is here to stay based on Dr. Ina Purvanova’s research. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss positives and negatives to a flexible, hybrid workplace. In addition, information will be provided on how to develop a synergistic leadership style and tools needed to be successful in a hybrid work mode.
About the Speaker:Radostina (Ina) Purvanova, Ph.D. is a Professor of Leadership and Management in the College of Business and Public Administration at Drake University. She received her PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include virtual work, virtual teams, and virtual leadership, employee motivation and well-being, and women’s career advancement and leadership development. Ina’s research on these topics has appeared in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Business and Psychology, Group & Organization Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Performance, and Small Group Research. |
