KEY in Des Moines stands for Keeping Educated Youth in Des Moines. It is a program connecting employers with area colleges and universities for workforce attraction. Every other month the group hosts free educational sessions.
Session Description:

*Why would an employer want to hire international students?
*How much work is it (and what is the cost) for an employer to hire an international student?
Speaker Bio:
Ashley Huth, M.Ed.
Coordinator of International Student Advising at Iowa State University
Ashley Huth is the Coordinator of International Student Advising in the International Students and Scholars Office at Iowa State University. She has worked in International Student Advising since 2013 after earning her Master’s of Education in Higher Education – Student Affairs at Iowa State in 2013.
Iowa State has over 4000 international students from over 100 countries. During the last academic year, Iowa State international students participated in 420 internships in the Fall, Spring, and Summer combined using CPT and approximately 600 international students were approved to utilize their immigration status benefit of OPT to be eligible to work in the US for up to three years after graduation.
