KEY in Des Moines stands for Keeping Educated Youth in Des Moines.  It is a program connecting employers with area colleges and universities for workforce attraction.  Every other month the group hosts free educational sessions.  KEY in Des Moines is a division of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce.

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed organizational work practices for many. Today, employees and teams are unquestionably relying on the use of technology to work together more than ever before. This talk will provide a foundational understanding of virtualness and hybrid teamwork as well as tips for working in our increasingly digital world. Research recommendations and best practices for hybrid team leadership strategies will be shared.

Dr. Alanah Mitchell is the Aliber Distinguished Associate Professor and Chair of Information Management and Business Analytics at Drake University. She is an experienced teacher, researcher, and consultant in relation to the design, implementation, and use of information and communication technologies as well as e-commerce and analytics topics. Dr. Mitchell has worked with the U.S. Strategic Command Center, Principal Financial Group, and a number of other Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.
