Event Description:
Health Care Issues Forum Series - Session 3
Presented by the DSM Fellowship Program
This event is in partnership with the Iowa Hospital Association.
Unlike police or fire programs, EMS is not considered an “essential service” by the state and does not receive statewide or county funding. This severely limits the number and availability of EMS crews necessary to transport rural Iowans to higher acuity hospitals across the state. Dive into this financial and funding predicament facing many Iowa counties at the Health Care Issue Forum.
Question and answer time will be built into the programming.
