Please join us on Wednesday, April 24 for the eighth evening in our 2018 – 2019 series as we welcome Dr. Maria Filippone, Co-Founder of the Des Moines Young Artists Theatre and Co-Owner of Noce Jazz Club. Dr. Filippone is a Greater Des Moines (DSM) physician who has traveled to Gaza on many occasions, offering medical education, mental health care and yoga instruction. She will be offering first person accounts of life in Gaza.
The meeting will be held at the Wakonda Club, 3915 Fleur Drive in DSM. Appetizers and drinks are from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m. The speaker will present from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m., followed by an open Question and Answer session.
Cost is $25, with special student discounts available.
