Event Description:
The Greater Des Moines Committee on Foreign Relations is currently taking reservations for the January meeting of our 2020 Speaker Series. Our special guest is Austin Dean, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Nevada. He is an expert on Modern Chinese History, and will be speaking on the topic of US-China Relations.
The meeting will be held at the Wakonda Club, 3915 Fleur Drive in Des Moines. There will be an open reception with the speaker from 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served during that time, and there is a cash bar available. Professor Dean will begin his presentation at 6:15 p.m., and a Q&A session will follow. The meeting will conclude at 7:30 p.m.
Cost is $25, with special student discounts available.
