Randy Hass | President/CEO, Midland Credit Union
Bio: Randy has over 30+ years in the financial services industry. He started his career at a consumer finance company in Dubuque in 1990, spent time working with a large national bank in Ottumwa, and began his credit union career as a CEO at a small credit union in Cedar Rapids in 1995. After 9 ½ years and helping to triple the size of the credit union, Randy left to become a partner in an insurance and investment company in Cedar Rapids, being tasked to open company offices in various credit unions in eastern Iowa to offer financial and insurance products to credit union members. Later Randy relocated to Virginia Beach and became a Regional Sales Exec for CUNA Mutual Group, the largest provider of insurance/financial products in the credit union industry, assisting over 40 credit unions throughout Virginia and DC with their financial needs. In 2013 Randy returned to his Iowa roots and became CEO of a small credit union in Davenport where he remained until its merger with Marine Credit Union of La Crosse, WI in early 2018. Since that time Randy has served as a Senior VP of Business Development, coordinating merger and acquisition activity across a four-state area as well as working to provide small business owners with financing options for their customers.Christina Moffatt | Owner and Founder, Crème Cupcake + Dessert
Founded in 2010, Christina is the owner and operator of Crème Cupcake + Dessert. Crème brings sweet dessert memories varying from a single cupcake, to birthdays, gender reveals, weddings, decorating parties or large events like 4000 cupcakes for a marathon and anyone looking to make their event special. She also created the first dessert lounge by bringing cocktails and dessert into one concept.Christina is also served as the Director of Small Business Resources for the Greater Des Moines Partnership from January 2017 to March 2022. She is passionate about using her own experience as an entrepreneur to uplift and grow other small businesses and will soon announce her role with a new company that is specifically focused on women entrepreneurs and female financial literacy.
She also devotes her time, talents, and donations to many local boards. Christina has won several awards for her business locally and nationally, including runner up on Food Network's Cupcake Wars.
She believes in helping others live the sweet life they were meant to live.
Jordan Briggs | President/CEO, Cobratype Computers, LLC
Bio: Jordan is the President and COO of Cobratype Computers. He completed his undergraduate degree from Simpson College and earned a Juris Doctorate from Drake University. Following a brief stint handling family law matters including adoptions, dissolutions, and custody disputes, Jordan joined Cobratype to share his passion for PC gaming. His wife is a family physician and they share a three year old daughter. In his free time, Jordan enjoys gaming, pickup basketball, and writing poetry.Mary Hunter | President & CEO, Goodwill of Central Iowa
Mary Hunter is a graduate of Drake University with a Business Management and Marketing degree, AA from DMACC Hotel Restaurant Management Program, Certified Bridal Consultant, Dale Carnegie Graduate, Toastmaster ATM Bronze Certification, and a Greater Des Moines Leadership Graduate. Mary served as a Commissioner for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverage Division, appointed by Iowa Governor Vilsak and reappointed by Iowa Governor Culver. Currently Mary serves the State of Iowa on the Consumer Advisory Panel, appointed by Governor Branstad, and reappointed by GovernorReynolds.
Mary currently works as President and CEO for Goodwill of Central Iowa (GCI). Within the first full year at GCI, she was able to change the financial swing by more than $8m, helping the organization get back on the track of financially viable. In addition, she was able to recruit a leadership team that has created a culture of love, kindness, and respect.
Mary was employed by JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) at the local Chapter level as well as the national level. Mary also served as the President of the Executive Directors Council with for JDRF. As Executive Director of the Greater Iowa Chapter, the Chapter was named Chapter of the Year in 2010!
Mary also was an officer with Hy-Vee, Inc. She started out sacking groceries (as most do) and worked her way through various positions with the last being Assistant Vice President, Real Estate.
Mary?s happy place is the kitchen, where she enjoys trying new recipes. In addition, Mary is an avid walker and reader.
Jennifer Anderson | Manager, Wright Outdoor Solutions
With more than 25 years of combined experience in accounting, operations and management, Jennifer Anderson began her role as General Manager for Wright Outdoor Solutions in November of 2016. During her tenure with Wright Outdoor Solutions, Jennifer has driven cultural growth, merging several service line sectors into one thriving team. With a commitment to continuing education and driven by passion for the green industry, revenue has nearly doubled and the company has expanded into the Omaha, Nebraska, and Cedar Rapids markets.
Jennifer started her career in 1997 as a small business owner. In 2000, she enrolled at Grandview University to pursue a degree in accounting and business administration, graduating with honors. She continued to run her business throughout college, closing it in 2005 when she took a position with National Management as a staff accountant. During her time with National Management, she worked her way up to Assistant VP of Operations, leaving in 2008 when the housing market crashed.
That same year, 2008, Jennifer joined Wright Service Corp. as a staff accountant. Promoted to controller in 2012, she worked with several of their family of companies including Wright Outdoor Solutions, as well as Sustainable Environmental Consultants, Terra Spectrum Technologies and CNUC. The transition to her current role as the Wright Outdoor Solutions General Manager was the opportunity to combine her expertise in operations and financial analysis with her passion to support and grow small businesses and new acquisitions.
