The FuseDSM Monthly Luncheon will typically be held on the 1st Thursday of every month. Each month the Chamber invites a dynamic speaker to provide timely information affecting our community, insight on issues concerning the community, or inspirational stories which resonate within the community.
There is networking time prior to the start of the program and lunch being served. This is the monthly event you do not want to miss to maintain those important relationships with your fellow members.
Grand View University: Igniting Possibility
Join Dr. Rachelle Keck, the relatively new president of Grand View University, for an introduction of herself and an update about Grand View University. She will discuss some thoughts about the future of higher education with a focus on Grand View in particular.

As Grand View University’s 14th and first female president, Dr. Rachelle Keck began her role in July 2022 as a proven leader with a background in higher education, law, and fundraising.
An Iowa native and one of nine children, Dr. Keck graduated from Wartburg College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, after which she earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. Dr. Keck is proud to be a first-generation college student, going on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education from Drake University.
Dr. Keck began her career as a prosecutor before establishing her own law firm. In 2014, Dr. Keck pivoted to a career in higher education, leading to philanthropy roles at the University of Iowa Foundation and Indian Hills Community College. Prior to coming to Grand View, Dr. Keck served as president of Briar Cliff University. Dr. Keck has been both a student at and an employee of all three types of higher education institutions – private, public, and community colleges.
A national speaker in the higher education industry, Dr. Keck also serves as Vice Chair of the Executive Board for the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and a member of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities Board of Directors.
