First Fridays
Event Description:
The Greater Des Moines partnership is excited to team up with the Iowa Women's Business Center to bring you First Fridays! The goal of First Fridays is for the aspiring entrepreneurs and the people of Des Moines to hear from business owners and entrepreneurs who have helped shape the communities in which we live. The speakers are makers, store owners, movers and shakers, creators of regional or national brands, and all have stories that are uniquely their own.
October 6th will feature Rachel Eubank is the President of Sticks Inc., a Des Moines based manufacturer of handmade home accessories and gift. During her 14 years at Sticks, she has been in wholesale and national sales, marketing and events, development, retail operations, retail buying, sales management, and operations. With recent launches of new product lines and categories, Rachel has focused on the development of the Sticks brand into additional product and price classes in addition to growing the licensing and brand awareness of Sticks within the open marketplace. Sticks is represented in a variety of gift and art galleries nationwide, as well as in commercial spaces such a hospitals, museums, clinics and libraries.
