Event Description:
Join us for this all-member event for the Des Moines West Side Chamber. We’ll celebrate 2019 and look forward to all that 2020 has to offer. We'll also highlight all of the economic development underway around Drake University. We'll see projects from the Neighborhood Development Corp., Nelson Construction, Merge, 6th Avenue Corridor, and others. The evening will include hors d'oeuvres by Jethro’s BBQ, Papa Keno’s, Fong's Pizza, and Drake University catering along with a cash bar.
Our special guest speaker will be Jennie Baranczyk, the Drake University Women’s Basketball coach. A Des Moines native, Jennie has built a culture of excellence in leading the Drake University women's basketball program to the top of the Missouri Valley Conference and among the nation's best. Jennie will be encouraging and inspiring as she shares why she’s excited to be at Drake, how she stays focused and optimistic, and what she’s looking forward to in the upcoming basketball season.
