Event Description:
The DSM Intern Connection event series returns to Greater Des Moines (DSM). The series will feature opportunities for interns and college-aged students to connect with community leaders and executives, as well as opportunities to network with fellow students while learning about what makes DSM unique and truly the place to be.
This session features an interactive learning experience with local author Danny Beyer. In addition, participants will hear from MIckey Davis, Festival Director of 80/35 Music Festival.
Danny Beyer, MBA is a networking specialist, bow tie aficionado, and author. through his network he has achieved success in both his professional and personal life. In 2013 he co-founded the Bow Tie Ball, a charity event centered on bow ties and networking that raised over $10,000 for Variety, the Children's Charity. His book. "The Ties that Bind: Networking with Style" was published in 2015 and a new edition was published this spring. Danny is a keynote speaker on networking and building real connections and frequently blogs on those topics for the Des Moines Business Record.
