Willard Garage is offering Driving Safety 101, for drivers who want to learn (or relearn) the basics of safe driving and car care. It's designed for teens, but drivers of any age are welcome to join, and it's completely free.
A few of the things we'll cover:
- Safety First: How to get off the road and out of harm's way before even worrying about the car.
- The "How-To" Basics: Simple, safe ways to jump-start a battery, swap out a flat tire, and maintain important under-hood fluids.
- All-Season Readiness: How to keep visibility clear, change wiper blades, and maintain appropriate tire pressure when temperatures change.
- Simple Fixes: Understanding those dashboard lights and knowing when a car can keep going or when it’s time to call for help.
The best part? Your driver can bring their own vehicle for hands-on instruction and practice inside our clean, warm shop. We’ll walk them through their specific car, show them exactly where their spare tire and tools are hidden, how to change a tire, and make sure they know their way around their own engine.
