Event Description:
Day of Kindness was created by West Des Moines Leadership Academy Alumni 4 years ago to encourage businesses, leaders, students, and community members to find a way to spread a little kindness. What started in West Des Moines, has now inspired an official Day of Kindness across the state of Iowa.
To celebrate, we're encouraging businesses, friends, and family to bring new socks to the WDM Chamber office on February 28. All socks will be donated to West Des Moines Human Services through “Socks of Love”, a nonprofit founded by WDMLA alum, Mick Grossman. We've got some big socks to fill if we want to beat last year's record of 2,000 new pairs!
No RSVP needed - just swing by with your donation and enjoy some donuts & coffee as a thank you for kicking off Day of Kindness with us.
