Courthouse Lighting and Chamber of Commerce's 10th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade

Everyone is invited to attend the Annual Lighting of the Jasper County Courthouse immediately followed by the Newton Chamber of Commerce's 10th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade.  The theme for the parade this year is "Christmas in Toyland!" although any festive holiday theme is welcomed.  A Link to a Registration form is below.  The deadline to sign-up has been extended to Wednesday, Nov 27th at 5:00 PM.

PARADE REGISTRATION FORM

Festivities begin at 5:00 PM with food and fun featuring Young Professionals Chili Cook-Off and carriage rides around the square.  The parade will be followed by more food and festivities on the Courthouse Square until 8:00 PM including Christmas Caroling around the Courthouse with Steve Knight, the 4-H Festival of Trees featuring Santa Claus in the Courthouse and Carriage Rides.

PARADE ROUTE: Parade will begin at DMACC, head east on 2nd Ave, loop around the square on 1st Street, then head west on 1st Ave, turning north on 3rd Street back to DMACC.

Evening Overview
5:00 PM - Festivities Start with the Young Professionals Chili Cook-off and Carriage Rides around the square.
6:00 PM - Lighting of the Jasper County Courthouse
6:05 PM - 10th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade "Christmas on Toyland!"
6:30 PM - Food and Fun continues around the Square with Caroling, the 4-H Festival of Trees, and Santa in the Courthouse.
