Event Description:
Over the past 15 months, the City of Des Moines has been working to update its zoning ordinance.
As the first comprehensive rewrite of the City's zoning ordinance since 1965, the Public Review Draft Ordinance implements the policies of PlanDSM by preserving and enhancing the existing character of the City's neighborhoods; emphasizing urban design and quality development; providing a more user friendly format; and providing greater predictability in development for neighborhoods and developers.
Michael Ludwig, Planning Administrator for the City of Des Moines will be present an overview of the public review draft ordinance and map and will be available to answer questions you may have.
