The Geisler Penquite committee is proud to host Dr. Teske Drake, who has served as a resource to local schools and organizations with regard to managing grief in the classroom and workplace. Dr. Drake holds a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from Iowa State University and is a published author in the field of grief and loss. Dr. Drake will engage participants in conversations about practical, effective ways for handling grief in the school. She will share from her experiences of leading grief groups following school death and loss as well as her experience as the director of the Academy of Grief and Loss at Hamilton's Funeral Home. From 6:30-7:30 pm in the Roe Center, Central College. Free and open to the public, registration required. Please register at departments.central.edu/education.
