Central College is hosting a visit from Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, who co-founded Mary’s Meals, a humanitarian organization that serves impoverished populations around the world. Hear how a Scottish fish farmer with a huge heart now leads this organization that is growing around the world with a cost of less than $20 a child per school year. This is all accomplished using local food, volunteers who prepare and serve the food and true Scottish stewardship of the charity’s funds. Magnus humbly shares his story in an effort to educate his audiences about hunger, poverty and the great potential that education offers these children. The presentation will take place on Thursday, September 20 at 6:30 PM in the Central College Graham Annex. There is no need to register, and no cost to attend.
