Career Connections: A Professional Development and Networking Event

Looking for a job? Wanting to advance your career? Interested in networking? Curious about volunteer opportunities? ....then join us at Career Connections!
The event will consist of a job fair with local and non local employers from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with 4 optional sessions offered throughout the evening.
The 4 sessions include:
1. One-on-One Resume Reviews
Resumes are the basis of any job search, and they need updating even if you're not looking! Get advice on your resume, job searching, and interviewing from area recruiters and HR Directors. Great for all experience levels. Bring your questions! This workshop will be offered twice.
2. Colors Personality Assessment
Real Colors will help you identify those actions of others that can cause you frustration. It will allow you to develop a new and different set of skills to assist in identifying issues that can cause distress in others. Using Real Colors, participants will develop an understanding that will assist in successfully solving issues in the workplace and in life. Take advantage of this free assessment-this is a $15 value! Seating is limited to 25. This session is only offered once.
3. 5 Techy Tips for Productivity
Joel Bennett, Chief Dreamchaser at Veel Hoeden coworking space, will review 5 web tools that can help you be more productive, get more out of your workday, and make your life easier. And because we all know that money is tight right now, all the tools will be 100% free! This session is offered twice.
4. Idea Exchange
Considering a Career Change? Starting a New Business? Pondering a New Business Direction or Product? Chasing a Dream? Come to the Idea Exchange to share your idea, connect and collaborate, be a catalyst for others, and help make your dream a reality. This workshop is only offered once.
