Event Description:
April is National Donate Life month.
Please consider giving life by donating blood and registering as an organ donor at the first annual Pella Community School Blood Drive and Organ Donor Registration on April 21, 2014, at Pella Middle School. Hours are from 12:30 - 6 pm. This drive will be in memory of David Thomas, brother of Sherri Lauritsen (Pella Middle School Vocal Music Associate). While waiting for a heart transplant, David passed away on January 5 this year, after a 22 ½ year battle with heart disease. David's life was enormously impacted by the gift of blood and organ donation.
