Event Description:
Join us for a free lunch courtesy of Wesley Acres and learn more about B.O.S.S.! This lunch will also be a great opportunity for those who recently joined the West Side Chamber and want to learn more and meet some of our leadership. Our special guest will be Kevin Pokorny as he discusses the Rolller Coarster Ride of the manager/small business owner and some tips for success and creating work/life balance. Kevin is an in-demand business consultant, past Chamber Board member, and instrumental in creating our B.O.S.S. program.
B.O.S.S. stands for Business Owners Success Strategies. It is a free monthly program for West Side Chamber Business Owners, Managers, or Executive Directors of non-profit organizations who want to work on and find solutions to business issues in a supportive, confidential setting. TRUST is a critical element of BOSS and regular attendance is strongly encouraged. All participants will sign a confidentiality agreement so members will have the confidence to allow active participation to engage in full and open dialogue and problem solving.
B.O.S.S. is now accepting new members and adding on a second group! Our current BOSS group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month from 8:15 - 9:30 AM. Each group is limited to 12 members. BOSS is currently meeting at Edencrest in Beaverdale at 3410 Beaver Avenue. This group will continue to meet. We are planning on starting a second BOSS Group in the summer of 2019 in the Ingersoll area. Exact location and time TBA.
Along with highlighting our BOSS program, we'll also give a brief overview of all the Chamber has to offer our members. If more information is needed, please contact our Chamber Director Darrell Sarmento at (515) 850-1847.
