Annual Southridge Hunger Challenge
Starting at 11:00AM – the battle to defeat hunger begins again at the 2nd Annual Southridge Hunger Challenge! (The event won’t be “competition-style” like last time) All nutritious, vitamin-fortified meals packed during this Outreach, Inc, meal packaging event will go directly to Bidwell Riverside, the YMCA Supportive Housing, Central Iowa Shelter Services and other local organizations dedicated to feeding people in need RIGHT HERE in Des Moines!
They need help from 9 -11 to set up, 11 – 1 to stock, and from 1 -3 to clean up. Oh, and you can certainly round up a team of 10 to package meals in the non-competition atmosphere, if you’d like, from 11 -1. If you have ANY window of available from 9 – 3 on Saturday, March 28th, I’d really appreciate if you helped at the Hunger Challenge.
