Event Description:
Please donate the precious gift of blood and learn more about being an organ donor. This year's drive is in honor of Hailey Steimel, a relative of Randy and Amy Belding, Pella Middle School Health/P. E. teacher. Hailey had a heart transplant on Valentine's Day 2014, at the age of 17. Did you know? Every day, 79 lives are saved by organ donors and more than 110,000 people are waiting organ transplants. In addition, every two seconds someone needs a blood transfusion and one pint of blood can save up to three lives.
