Event Description:
Join the Greater Des Moines Partnership for a Regional Summit, aimed at connecting urban, suburban and rural communities. The Partnership welcomes community, business and civic leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities, while amplifying stories from throughout Greater DSM USA.
The Regional Summit will focus on key issues impacting the region, encourage meaningful connections and is guaranteed to leave participants inspired and ready to move the region forward. Programming and speakers will be announced at a later date.
During lunch, the Greater Des Moines Partnership's Economic Impact Awards recognize local companies for their contribution toward the economic and community vitality of Greater Des Moines (DSM).
Keynote Speaker:
Dom Williams is a Senior Expert at McKinsey’s Institute for Economic Mobility. His work explores how place influences economic prosperity and mobility. He’s a co-author of The State of Black Residents and other Institute publications, and helps leaders across government, business, philanthropy, economic and workforce development to design strategies that expand economic opportunity and build resilience in the face of rapid change.
Before joining McKinsey, Dom spent over a decade in senior roles in local government, including serving as Chief Policy Advisor, Director of Policy and Planning, and Chief Resilience Officer for the City of New York. Dom earned his Bachelor of Arts with Honors in philosophy from Princeton University.
