Event Description:
The Des Moines East and South Chamber of Commerce will host its annual fall showcase event, the Celebration of Progress, on September 26th from 5-7 p.m. at the Des Moines Fire Department Training and Logistics Facility. View photos of the 2012 grand opening and ribbon cutting.
The public is invited to attend the event for a free will donation with proceeds going to the Chamber’s scholarship program. The evening festivities will include a social and networking reception hosted by the chamber, music, and a raffle for two Iowa Wild season tickets.
The program will award the East Des Moines Volunteer of the Year, Linda Bisignano. In addition, the Chamber will honor East High, North High, and Grand View University with $1,000 scholarships each.
The Des Moines Fire Department will host the reception at the Training and Logistics Facility located at 2715 Dean Ave. Other sponsors of the Celebration of Progress include: Bankers Trust Company, DMACC, Iowa Wild, Kemin Industries, Anderson Erickson Dairy, Copy Systems, In the Bag, Iowa State Bank, The Rehab Center, Valley View Village, Grand View University and Cellular Advantage/US Cellular.
The Celebration is open to the public and free to attend this year, with a donation option at the time of registration or at the door. To accommodate for food and drink, please register your RSVP through the Register Online button above.
