The Newton Police Department is seeking citizens interested in attending the upcoming Citizens Police Academy Class. The Citizens Police Academy is an 8 week class, which offers 24 hours of classroom and hands-on training. If you, or someone you know, are interested in attending, contact the Newton Police Department at 641-791-0850 or email janetc@newtongov.org. An application can be downloaded from the City's website at www.newtongov.org. Those interested are asked to complete the application and return it to the Police Department by August 15th, 2016.
